Phantom 4 Remote not connecting

Hello all. I have 2 identical P4s and one of the remotes takes several attempts connect and display on the DJI GO app. The display says aircraft disconnected. After refreshing the firmware on the remote or waiting 10-15 minutes the remote will eventually connect but the video signal drops out repeatedly. The second remote connects perfectly to either drone so I know the problem is in the remote.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for the reply. Both controllers are the GL300C models. Both drones are the Phantom 4 standard models. Neither have been modified, dropped or otherwise damaged.

See if a relinking procedure helps under rc settings

Sounds to me like the USB port board on the remote controller may be faulty.

Do you need both drones at the same time?
If not, one RC is enough.

At least the 300C are cheap. Even dji replaces most for $100 or less. Don't know the problem but might need to open and check all connections.

The USB board on Gl300’s tend to go bad sometimes. The version “A” was more likely to fail because of the nand chip it has. But “B and C “ version’s happens occasionally.
