I live just outside of Quantico Marine Base. Since they fire off huge artillery every week or so, they're in a specially marked "Alert" no-fly area. I'm at least 1000 yards from the military property line, and all of the apps (B4UFly, Hover, AirMap, etc.) show I'm clear to fly. DJI's firmware however, doesn't follow the curvature of the base perimeter and thinks I'm within the Alert boundary. It won't allow my P4P to take off. If I switched from the DJI Go 4 app to Litchi, would I be able to fly from my house? Where do these apps get their "no-fly zone" limitations from? The app itself or from the remote control and bird? Any help would be appreciated...

Good question, over here the NFZ maps are sourced from a third party for use by CASA (your FAA) and I'm assuming for use by DJI. The go app flags an area nearby that flags a warning, however using Litchi for now has no such restrictions or warnings. I suspect that that will change but for now works fine and is my sole app for flying.
