@Kissthesky the .DAT is required to get any further on this. You could try a different USB cable. If you're using a Mac then could you try using a PC?

But... Making sure the battery is securely latched is part of my start up. I don't take off without making sure I get the double click every single time! My checklist covers that as I have seen story after story on this same issue

If you are familiar with this kind of event then you must have known what I would conclude from those flight data. I'm not saying that's undoubtedly what happened - just pointing out what the data suggest.

Are you using the USB port in the "nose" of the P4? Not, the USB port on the camera.

There is only one USB port and it is on the left side directly next to the SD card. It is the only 1 I've been using and it's the same 1 that was used to update the bird at a dealer in Nashville

That's not the right USB port. I don't have a P4 so I don't know where the correct USB port is. On my P3 the USB port is covered with a white rubber flap in the "nose".
