It appears that way, or at least they have to conform to MA state law in order to sell products in MA. That is tough. There must be some sort of entity that can help to settle claims of this nature in china?
 
It's called lawyers. But in China that takes years and $$ to do anything. And if the other party has a relationship with the company.....you will lose. The judge has total discretion on any judgement and is NOT bound to make judgements based within any laws. Essentially he is free to rule without being confined to written law.
In China relationships are everything, actual law takes a backseat to reality.
