I had that enabled but I dunno why it didnt workMust admit it really is bad wording as it makes people think it will avoid any obstacle once rth is activated. What makes it worse is the initial rth height option becomes obsolete in our minds if we're get the impression it will avoid obstacles at all costs![]()
Personally I couldn't give a darn what an unconstitutional bureaucracy says.
Can you post a screenshot of all your obstacle avoidance settings? Were you in P mode or sport mode?
Lol. I'm glad airline pilots doPersonally I couldn't give a darn what an unconstitutional bureaucracy says.
So does sport modeI'm sure Atti mode turns off obstacle avoidance?

No, horizontal obstacle avoidance is just for Tap Fly and means that if an obstacle is encountered the unit will attempt to fly around it rather than halt and hover.Would horizontal obstacle avoidance helped with that situation?
Because they would carelessly kill everyone because there was no rule that told them not to?Lol. I'm glad airline pilots do![]()
No, because (obviously) everyone needs to be operating by the same rules. And since I don't want to hijack the thread by engaging an anti-government rhetorical argument that will close my comments on the subject.Because they would carelessly kill everyone because there was no rule that told them not to?
It clearly says in the manual that obstacle sensing systems are disabled in sport. https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/phantom_4_pro/Phantom+4+Pro+Pro+Plus+User+Manual+v1.0.pdf#page13
Any comments on this? I'm even more interested since Lickity Split reported that OA was turned on.Regarding RTH OA, there are actually two settings as I mentioned in this earlier thread: Conflicting RTH settings?
It is still unclear to me what the hidden setting does. I wonder if it must be enabled to really activate RTH OA? It is off by default.
