WiFi connection time

Using ultimate flight android app and it takes about 5 minutes to connect to the app. Sammy s5 with airplane mode turned on. Something I could change to improve connection time?

Uninstall and re-install app. Re-start phone. Use app killer to kill running programs.. Re-store phone to factory.
