so this thing crashed in my yard a month ago and no one has claimed it so I am selling it. It’s kinda messed up, it powers on but idk if it works cuz I don’t have a controller. These things are selling for upwards of 100 so I guess that’s the minimum bid. idk how this stuff works just let me know!
Please include your location so the owner can ID, knowing the town you found it, if he's in the audience here. You should try try emailing DJI the serial number, found in the battery compartment, and let DJI contact the owner. They absolutely have a way to do that, if they want to. I suggest you start a new thread titled "PHANTOM 4 FOUND, CLAIM IT" I think the owner would be more inclined to read the post.

No, the serial number is two rows of numbers inside the battery compartment. You have to remove the battery to see it.

I just let them know. Thanks for all the help! I will wait for 2 weeks for a response. I guess that will be long enough, especially given its been a month since it crashed.
If DJI doesn't reply in that time, or you don't hear from anyone in a month, I think that's a good time-frame to wait. Usually DJI will reply back in a day or two, they're pretty good at getting back with replies. I've never reported a lost drone like I'm suggesting, so it will be good to hear back from you to see how they reply. If that doesn't work, I can put you in touch with another helpful DJI employee that can possibly help you locate the owner. I'll send you his email address in a PM.

I have a Phantom 4 Pro I wish to sell because I purchased it as a back up for my business when my Phantom 4 was in for repairs. Believe it or not, I like the Phantom 4 better than the Pro. I used the Pro for only four jobs while I waited for my 4 to return. Now, I need the money more than I need two drones. I purchased the Pro in May, 2017. I still have insurance on it but I'm not sure if it will transfer to a new owner. Any interest?
I suggest you putting this in the classified section. You should also include the firmware version the craft in your ad. If you bought in May and immediately upgraded to the latest firmware, and haven't upgraded since, that would be 1.3.509, and to some people that's worth more than a drone with newer firmware. If I was in the market for a P4P, I'd buy nothing but a used one that has 1.3.509 firmware, but that's just me, cause I have the need for the special things you can do with that version. I think refresh policies do follow new owners of resold craft.
If you'd like a backup P4, I'll trade you a virtually new P4 with the stock controller+DBS2 and an Inspire GL658A controller (better range) + $300 for your P4P (you keep your batteries, I'll keep mine). My P4 has only got about 20 flights on it since DJI sent me a brand new craft in March due to cracked shell. When I got my P4P in May I haven't flown my P4 since. This P4 also has the altitude limit removed.
Oh, I'm only interested if your P4P has 1.3.509 firmware.
