I've been asked by some to post the Dashware profile For the DatConverter.
The Dat converter is a little program that converts the Dat logs stored in the Phantom.
The Datconverter thread:
New version of .DAT converter | DJI Phantom Forum
You can download the latest Dat Converter here (the zip file includes instructions how to convert the logs):
Fly.zip

The Dashware profile can be downloaded here (the zip file inludes instructions how to install the profile):
DatconverterProfile.zip

Here is an example of a converted log using the template in the Dashware profile:

Let me know if you have any issues.
Have fun and if you create new gauges do post them!

Thanks....that's all I needed. :D

How do you view just the Profile only like seen in your image above?

See in my setup below I'm unable to just display the gauge canvas only. Sliding the tools on the right over is still not enough.

Try resizing the thumbnail size to 75 x75
When I slide the window where I circled in red this is what I get.

When I have Dashware setup per bottom picture I use the Snipping tool that comes with windows and select the info I want to share
Press copy in Snipping tool and then paste in the reply.

If you notice the difference in the smaller image on the far left side is what the main issue is. See it doesn't matter how I drag the windows around it does not change to the full page type view as you see in yours. Btw, are you saying the snipping tool is responsible for the window size and it's content?

Load some 1080p footage per below (not 720P).
That should resize the window to show all gauges.

Ive been asked how to modify a chart in Dashware to show other data from the DatConverter csv file.
Here is a short tutorial

Hi,

trying to get this loaded (not familiar with this at all!)

but where is the "Fly103.csv " ?? (as mentioned in the read me doc within the zip file)

On the right screen click on + where it says Data File(s):

Select the file Fly103.csv (the converted DAT File).

Under Choose a data profile: select DatConverter V1

Click Add

I think i am getting there... but I dont know until I get the exampled loaded that you have provided

thanks in advance!

"Fly103.csv " ..... Substitute that file with your "Fly***.csv" file that you want to use in your project.

to be honest it is all a bit confusing from this point in the red me notes within the zip file

file: DatConverter Gauge Pack.dashware
Double click on file to install Gauges.
Click add to add the Gauges to Dashware.

Close Dashware when done.

Open Dashware.

Click cancel if Quick Project Creator window is open.

Select File->New Project.

Under Poject Template select
DatConverterTemplate

Click OK

On the right screen click on + where it says Data File(s):

Select the file Fly103.csv (the converted DAT File).

Under Choose a data profile: select DatConverter V1

Click Add

Wait approx 30 seconds for dashware to load the csv file.

Thats it.

There is no audio included in the video, so it would be best to select "pause" between each of the processes. Otherwise the video will be hard to follow.

Ok thanks.. Much appreciated! (& I got most of it correct)

My problem is I think I have maybe downloaded the wrong version (as the zip file I have didn't have the fly13 csv... & now my free version of wo zip has run out!!.. So I stopped)

Also, because I didn't have the sample csv I downloaded dat files off my p3 & had to upload them to flylog.info to download the csv (is this correct?... As I then got an error message - as stated in a post just now

Everything else went well & looks good

Thanks for your help

I'm assuming that the errors you got were something like

Partial or missing record at or near tickNo 2379, file Position 36931
Partial or missing record at or near tickNo 10368, file Position 2560036

and appeared in the pane just below the Start Upload button? These types of errors occur in at least half the flights and can be ignored. The Download .CSV button should have appeared. Pushing that will download the .csv

This is explained in the text above the upload area.

... I'm hoping there is a way to convert dat to csv offline :)
When you go to flylog.info the very first page you see should have the following text.

Before you upload a .DAT please consider using the offline version, DatConverter, instead. DatConverter runs on your PC, i.e., you don't have to wait while the network uploads your .DAT file and then downloads the .csv. The following instructions tell you how to obtain and install DatConverter.

Don't want to do all that and just get your .DAT converted? Then press the Upload button above.

Did this not show up in your browser?
