No connection to andriod 6.1

I updated my Samsung s5 to 6.1 the other day and now i find that the rc will no longer connect. I have cleared the cache and re installed the app, changed leads and done a fair bit of swearing all to no avail. I tried a samsung tab 2 and that works fine but is a tad to slow to keep up with the phantom 4.
HELP please !!!!

You possibly have the dreaded Marshmallow update effect. Do a search around here and you will find many threads about it. There is an issue with the USB connect options and the way Android Marshmallow handles them. Generally it is device specific. It is possible that some of the other threads may help. Some work, some don't.

tried them all, changed the leads, made sure the USB socket wasn't on charge. have spent the whole afternoon and most of this evening on it. but thanks for the reply and i will have another look through and see if i missed anything,
