Play back your flight log on your app. Make sure the view of the sticks is showing.
You might see if there is a csc.

Yes, the CSC works just like the Phantom.

The actual descent at the end (which oddly doesn’t seem to be represented in the data/video somehow…and I’m not suggesting “editing” by the provider) was as originally described.

@Cmorhoun, I think the missing data from the descent at the end, is representative of the Phantom being powered down, as was suggested by @Laup.
I believe that the majority of members here, are sympathetic, and not trying to belittle you, whether you did an accidental CSC or not.
There are some that will blame you for flying wildly, but they are the minority, and if you can, just ignore.

You should be able to replay the last flight in your Go app, and you can also turn on the "stick simulator" (not sure what it's true name is) to see if it shows the same CSC at the very end.
