p3 standard distance limit switch is off, but will only fly about 150 feet out. Beginner mode is off. What do I do?

You could try reading the instructions.........
And just WHAT part of the instructions addresses this problem smart ***? Here's a clue, IT DOESN'T. FYI, it was a software problem, and dji support spent an hour helping correct it.

@boxmaker, were you able to resolve your issue?

Yes , thank you! I am new to this, and joined because I hoped to get some help. Thanks for asking though. That guy just ticked me off.I'm old (68) but I did learn to read!

Hum, yes I do agree that @Philltayl may have jumped in with a comment that was not thought out, simple to do, when you see the number of posts that the OP has posted.

Looks like he generally has good input, his name looked familiar to me, so I followed my thoughts and found the connection.

Comeback now you hear!:D

This bit...........

If you're running the latest firmware, you'll be restricted to a height of 30 meters (98 feet) and a distance of 50 meters (164 feet) when not logged into the DJI GO app. That's mentioned in the Phantom release notes here:

firmware-jpg.85733

This change is explained in great detail in this video:

If you're already logged into DJI GO, log out and back in again. You can log out in the following section of DJI GO:

dji-go-login-how-to-logout-jpg.85466

Once logged back in again, your login information will be stored locally on your mobile device and you should be able to fly without restriction (even when disconnected from the Internet). If you find that not to be the case, then uninstall DJI GO and reinstall it.

FYI, there is currently a known issue in DJI GO that reapplies these restrictions after switching to a new battery without restarting DJI GO. To work around this issue, you'll need to shut down DJI GO, swap batteries, and start DJI GO again.

150 feet? That's excessive try not to fly past 30 feet because your dumb and dangerous
Not sure who this was aimed at - but certainly not me because I haven't contributed to this thread before...

And with that post, certainly neither have you, @FredK

'your dumb' = 'you're dumb', btw - which could be quite fitting, reflexively.... :-)

Let's all try to be polite and nice here, shall we? There's certainly no need for posts such as yours @FredK

I report these using the report button. Anyone eles who agrees this comment does not lend itself to the discussion should do the same.

I had this happen and I stopped the app and restarted it. No more issues
