wont auto take off

have 10 hrs flying time and never had this problem. My P3 Std will NOT take off and hover when I try to use the auto take off. I slide to the right but nothing happens. It will start the props manually. The GPS shows 12 sats.
and the compass is calibrated. It is in P mode. Return to home works. Am doing all this with the props off and outside. It used to give me a "taking off " verbally but now it doesn't. Havent changed anything but don't want to fly if something isnt working right.

Have you tried it with the props on?

Testing without props can be inconclusive in some cases.

Without Props, I they should start, but they will shut back down and should have a message though.

Auto take should at least start the props also.

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
