Bird got up, then decided to fly away on its own. So strange! Has this happened to anyone before?
After seeing that could not control it, as you can see from crash log, requested to do Land it back at 27 seconds but it just decided to veer off by itself (could not control it and even when not touching anything it would fly away by itself) for 440 feet away from home. Had no control over it. Completely away from home point and lost it. There were no metal or magnets nearby and weather was clear with no wind. Doesn't seem to be a user mistake.

Can someone please check out and analyze log below to explain:
Dropbox - Log.mp4 <--- Log

Any recourse with DJI even if warranty period is over?

Not much anyone can do with that file. Start with this: DJI Flight Log Viewer

The flight data recorded by the app helps explain most flight incidents.
If you want more info, go to DJI Flight Log Viewer
Follow the instructions there to upload your flight record from your phone or tablet.
Come back and post a link to the report it provides.
There are a few people here that are experienced at analysing the data.

So hey guys,
His title says "Why did bird fly away and crash? Help analyze Log"

He didn't say he lost it.
But, In his first post he did state.
"Completely away from home point and lost it."

@phneem,
Your turn again, Is your Phantom actually lost and do you want help to find it?

As @Meta4 mentioned, this behavior generally indicates that the aircraft was initialized at a location with a distorted magnetic field, resulting in the IMU yaw value being incorrect at takeoff:

You supplied no elevator or aileron inputs for the first 100 s or so, and the oscillatory motion arises because when the FC attempts to correct for drift but applies thrust in the wrong direction.

That also shows up as a significant discrepancy between the recorded aircraft velocity and the IMU position record that is modified with the GPS location data.

To determine exactly what happened will require the DAT file from either the aircraft or the mobile device, both of which include the raw data from the magnetometers.
