Who's had success backing off the screws and using zip ties around the arms?

There's a lot of hubbub going around about cracked shells, but it's not something you need to worry about because it has not happened to the majority of Phantom owners. There are lots of potential ways suggested to prevent them, but none really work since nobody is able to pinpoint what has caused the cracks.

"These are not the droids you're looking for"

Old shells and new shells are cracking. I get it, keep it light enough to fly but strong enough to stay together. That being said, the shells are cracking due to stress.
I have babied my P3A and I still have hairline stress cracks (new shell). I'm going to replace my shell, I just consider it part of the hobby.
I also have RC cars and boats that need regular maintenance of the same kind, I just consider that the "price of doing business".
But please don't pretend that stress cracks aren't happening.

I will try what others on this board have suggested by reinforcing my new shell with Plast-Aid and see how that goes.

To me, this is just part of the hobby. I expect to have maintenance and I enjoy working on my stuff.
