Is it better to have a custom channel or leave it on auto for flying in an urban neighborhood? I have heard it is best to keep it high and out of wifi ranges of homes and in line of sight. There no cell or radio towers close by. Would like any tips. Thanks

Most of the time wifi interference takes place at the level of RC and not aircraft. So dying high will not matter much for communication signals. RC should transmit and receive signals in clean environment.

No doubt AC also should not enter interference zones such as near high voltage towers, cell towers, behind a structure, between high rise buildings.

Communication signals, GPS signals and compass should remain healthy all the times for good flights.
