I had no visual on the drone, the weed popped up suddenly in the video as you can see. I paused for a couple seconds and climbed out of there.

Looking at your screen won't help with obstacle avoidance if you're flying backwards or sideways!

It's like with any activity you undertake for a prolonged period of time... eventually you need to push the boundaries to keep things interesting. I've been doing more proximity flying of late. It sure gets the heart pounding.

This is my latest piece of silliness. And yes, I ended up in a tree!

Easily done. Did a stream tracking flight, starting from a pond which was going so well until I hit a twig. A TWIG!
Landed in the stream, battery ejected, body cracked in miltiple places so full rebuild, luckily no water damage to boards.
