So I did a thing. On Marketplace there was a few phantoms advertised at a low price. I still have a soft spot for these machines. The one that took my fancy was a P4, mainly due to obstacle avoidance, its 4k camera and generally a later model unit (plus I never owned a 4), but negotiations with the seller was painfully slow, he couldn't tell me if it was a Standard or an Advanced, it went from 2 batteries to 1 battery, he became abusive, telling me that even though it was no longer what was originally advertised, I need not waste my time if I thought that he would drop the price. So I blocked him and turned my focus to the P3A that was advertised for the same price. 4 batteries, filters, heaps of props and a hard cased backpack.
The gentleman was pleasant to deal with, and as he lived remote to me, and was travelling through my area, he was amenable to catching up at the local library car park. He showed me the unit, the batteries all showed 3/4 charge after 2 weeks of sitting. I had a lightning lead on me and DJI Go preloaded, a quick hookup, calibrate the compass and I had a green ready to fly screen. We shook hands,
So now I am back with a P3A, about 5 years after my previous one.

Now I have seen the thread on light painting and am really interested in that idea, the only downside of that is in Australia it is illegal to fly after dark.
At least I already have Litchi installed from my previous phantoms.

It sounds like you might have avoided a scam. Smart move.
