Hello everyone,
I own a P4 and it has been few weeks that I am trying to make more professional-looking videos shooting in d-log, manual mode with nd-filters.
However, because I am in Ireland where the sky is always cloudy but pretty bright while the terrain is very dark, I always end up overexposing or underexposing the shoot. This happens especially when a tilt the camera or when I fly over a object with the sky on the background.
I was wondering therefore, is there any trick on how to choose properly the shutter speed? E.g. calibrate the camera looking at the sky risking to have an underexposed terrain, or viceversa increase the shutter speed to have a good exposure on the terrain risking to have an overexposed sky? I’d actually prefer the former option.
Thanks!
