Should I update my firmware?

I just got my (refurbished) P3a in the mail today. Here's the status of the FW:

App version: 3.1.2 (iOS)
AC version: 1.5.30+
RC version 1.8.0

It's telling me I need to update firmware, obviously. But I took it for a very short three minute flight today, and everything seemed just fine. I'm a little hesitant to update after reading all the horror stories here.

So my question is this: What would you do? Should I leave it where it is if all seems to work fine? If I do leave it, will that void any warranty issues if DJI discovers I wasn't using the most recent FW?

If I update it, do I need to do it incrementally or can I just jump straight to the newest release?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Are you just linking me to that thread to show me how many people have been having problems? Because that's exactly why I'm asking.

What about the warranty issue? Is my AC still covered if I'm not on the newest FW?
The new firmware is a Russian roulette!

Do not do it. I upgrades and now drone will not start. Others have had this issue but DJI denies responsibility and want me to pay to fix the problem they caused my drone with their firmware upgrade! BE CATEFUL!
