im totally new to drones so please be kind, its my first post for stuff i couldn't get answers to on reading past posts, i was bought by the wife a month ago a phantom 1, it was new in the box so i bought 2 batteries, took it out and it nearly flew away lol, so after reading on here how to update firmware, calibrating compass etc, it flys brilliant, i really do like it, i've been flying it every time i get a hour for the last 3 weeks getting used to it, so i got home from work 2 days ago and she had a smirky smile and i knew either my luck was in or i had a present, well it was a phantom 2, it come with 1 new battery and 3 dead so ill buy 2 more soon, after a bit of searching on ebay, google etc, it has loads of bits that are not on my phantom 1, it has a dji hd 2d gimbal, a osdi, bosman galaxy d2 monitor and the transmitter is bosman thunderbolt 2000mw and a gopro hero 3 plus, it also has the stock remote with the gimbal wheel now ill get on to what i'm after as i'm hungry for good info, i just flew it to 500 meters away, clear line of sight on the monitor then it has a temp loss of signal for a second then comes back on, now is that channel being wrong on the channel pins on the back? is so is there a stock setting for them? or maybe not good enough ariels? if so can you suggest what ariels to buy to help with longer distance if it is them? it has a chop stick on the left side of the monitor and a bosman small round one on the right side and on the drone, the other thing is the gimble goin down is really touchy if i go to fast it shoots back up, go slow as its fine, but goin back up is super smooth, i calibrated the remote when i got it so i assume i need to redo? and.... what changes would you make to make it nicer to a newbie, thanks for any advice and sorry for my first long winded post
