Repaint props

I've heard if some folks staining them (Rit Dye), that is the preferred method, I believe. But I have painted them black myself, then re-balanced them. It was a spray paint from Krylon made for plastic. Worked fine. Plasti-dip is too thick and heavy, I would assume. Plus it's peel able. Not good, mid flight!

dye them works best

Has anyone tried dyeing P4 props? I'm just wondering how we'll it'll work since there is now a glossy finish on them.

Haven't done it but I would suggest dye as well. If for some reason plasti-dip starts peeling mid-flight, it can get caught up in the motor or cause a nasty unbalance.

I found this recently - a 'how to' guide for dying plastic with Rit dye

I used a black Sharpie pen and masking tape to put three approx 3/4 inch bands on bottom of prop with alternating white bands, looks cool when running

I like this idea

I used this method way back when I was a kid dying nitro rc nylon wheels. It looks cool and doubt it affects the reliability but the only concern I have is when you require warranty work involving a prop failure. Might not be a good idea in that scenario. If your warranty is up why not though.

looks great
