Hi
Pretty new with drone /2 moths. Made the same mistake as some on site because main purpose is geo mapping.
Any latest news to go around the problem
- p4p+ does not cope with GSP
- did not find way to preplan flight grid wit some 100 pics (but manually with Litchi)

Has someone found a way to overcome the problem without buying P4P as second for instance make the preplan mission to be imported to Litchi and from there via Mission Hub to P4P+

Pic4D works like Litchi but not willing quite yet spend much because incomes are far away for some time.

When ever someone finds a kitchen door would appreciate for a hint.

Buy the plain jane P4P controller. Only way

For your other question, if you're on a PC, download Virtual Litchi Mission. It interfaces with Mission Hub, allowing you to preplan your mission, then will let you export it to google earth pro so you can fly the mission there. When it's to your liking, when you save it, it saves to your Mission Hub. Simple then to download it from there to the P4P aircraft

The P4 pro+ has been out for over 1.5 yrs now and since it was released, it has not accepted 3rd party apps.
It's not going to happen in the future either.
If you buy an ordinary P4pro controller, you can use your drone to run mapping programs.
Find someone on ebay or similar who has lost their drone and selling the controller.
Just be careful to get a matching controller. The new P4 pro V2.0 is not compatible with the older P4 pro.

Litchi is not really useful for mapping.
You need a proper mapping program to plan and fly a precise grid and capture images with precise overlap.
DroneDeploy is very good and there are other similar apps.
It's free to use DD for flying mapping missions.
You only pay if you use them to process the imagery to create the map.

Thanks for replieds.

I have tried to find secondhand p4p rc. No luck yet. My son even visited Hong Kong but we did not find place to buy except the dji store, but price is the same as here.

It seems I have to accept my mistake and buy a new rc.

I did not realize DD is free to plan and use to take mapping photos.
Thanks correcting me.

My older son has a very powerful PC and Mac at his media company.

Are there free or moderately priced processing softwares to recommend?

Well, that's not entirely true, you know. Since the R/C update in April/May, many apps have become available through the Amazon Appstore, including Litchi. I sideloaded a screen recorder last September with no problems. Lots of people here have been able to install the Google services successfully, I have not been successful.

Yes.
I bought Litchi and workis fine with my p4p+... But
My obbjectibe is aerian ogotography and 3d mapping..
Ölitchi has been super helpfull but the do not yet provide software for that. Said the maybe in the future.

So my only chsnge is to buy p4p rc ;(.

Seems have to buy fron local importer.

Perhaps will use the free Drone Deploy prog snd buy some software to process. Well see.

This statement makes me scratch my head. While it's true that they don't officially support 3rd party apps on P4P+ controller, there's nothing blocking you from installing some anyway. For example after my first few flights I went ahead and installed MX Player on my P4P+ controller. No problem what so ever.

Obviously when I referred to 3rd party apps, I meant useful flying apps like DroneDeploy.

Ah okay. So you're saying DJI Go app isn't useful?
Not at all ... it's my favourite app for general flying and photography.
But the Phantom is capable of other tasks that the Go app can't help with.
There are a number of very useful 3rd party apps for specialised flying.
If you wanted to perform some commercial mapping, you would want to install DroneDeploy to plan and control the mission to fly a precise grid and acquire a large number of images at precise overlaps.

Look on ebay. When people lose their Phantom they often sell the controller.
You will see many controllers in the following link:
dji phantom 4 pro controller | eBay

The most used program is Agisoft Photoscan but it is not cheap
This is the best approach to solving the + controller dilemma. I bought a second controller, and I love the fact that I can now pick and choose how I control my P4P. The + controller is so convenient for normal day to day flying, and the standard controller gives me the ability to use Litchi with a phone or an iPad if I’m demonstrating to others. The cost of the second controller was worth every penny IMO.
