Hi All, Long time race drone pilot, new P3P pilot. I like to think I’m technically competent. Recently acquired a P3P and currently having gimbal issues. Any trouble shooting steps to eliminate issues or define the issue would be appreciated.

Facts are:

1) Drone was working fine the previous day.
2) There is no gimbal movement/alignment on startup.
3) There is no gimbal movement at all.
3.1) Controller does not cause Gimbal to move.
3.1.1) Controller is communicating with the drone. Will record, etc.
4) Issue does not seem to affect the camera itself.
4.1) Video and Pictures seem to operate correctly.
4.2) FPV still works fine.
5) DJI app states “Camera Tilt error”
6) Camera calibration fails (when initiated from within the App).

Any ideas to help narrow down the issue would be greatly appreciated!

Check all your gimbal connections CAREFULLY,
See if a connector is not fully inserted, on gimbal top, or no damaged wires from belly of craft to connector End, or any pins loose in connectors!
Is the fan coming on?

Might be the ribbon cable as well, got pinched or cane loose, or damaged somewhere!
( most problems come from ribbon when no crash happened, and mysterious issues occur out of the blue! )

Or possibly gimbal board failure?( but that is rare without a crash or water damage )

I'd say loose connector or ribbon cable, they are cheap enough to give it a shot, I'd leave gimbal main board as a last resort! Hope this helps

1 check gimbal flex cable and connection to top gb board and pitch driver
2 check pitch driver and motor
if you replase gb flex cable - dont use not original one layer - not working, only double layer chinese cable or original
