Currently, I am a Mavic Pro owner but I wanted to post question about a friend's Phantom 3 Pro. He had gotten his P3P back from repair after crashing. They had to replace camera/gimbal. When he got it back, the display is very poor on the Go app plus he is limited to a height of 98 feet. It is not in beginner mode. I thinking maybe we should re-install the firmware in the P3P and controller, to sync everything back up. he had no issues prior to crashing the drone. Am I correct in thinking this way? Thanks!

no,
delete the app from the ipad/iphone/... whatever he's using and re-install. it is a setting in the menus that is limiting him to the ceiling of 100ft.
sometimes changing it works but i've noticed that re-installing the app works every time.

I have had that same problem in the past. All I do is land the quad, shut just the quad down, then power it back up. Seems to work for me.
