Appreciate any help

First question. Why are you updating? It is not necessary or mandatory. What firmware do you have at present?

I second that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Every time I turn my P3P on it says I need a firmware update but I won't update it because of the horror stories I've read about it messing things up.

If it flies ok, don't worry about the update, at least not until one comes out that doesn't do more harm than good!

the only reason i updated was because I was receiving error message "No Transmission Signal". It was recommended to update to latest firmware. Anyway wish i didn't, but... here I am.

Try to power up again and wait until the AC has connected and gone through IMU warmup etc.....then look at the firmware version numbers, both AC and RC and you app version. Post back here.

App 3.1.13
Aircraft 1.11.20
RC 1.9.2
I know this is the latest version, but based on the log above did it install correctly? After I did the upgrade still get the "no transmission signal" and DJI recommended that i reinstall update. I cant reinstall i receive the following message on the log in the root of the SD card;

Packet: P3X_FW_V01.11.0020.bin
Result: Failed.
Reboot the aircraft and try to upgrade the firmware again.

So do i have an issue with the firmware, or is it some other issue that doesn't allow for the image signal

It may or may not be a firmware issue. I would think that if you attempted to re-install the firmware you would have gotten a " Firmware is same as installed" message in that SD card file. Does the AC power up and aquire SAT's?
Did you try and start the props? If that fails, then it could be a firmware issue. Make sure when you power up that the RC light and the AC lights are green ( Connected). Even without the image transmission, I would think that it will still power up and do everything else properly IF the firmware installed properly. If not, and you were getting the image transmission message before attempting the upgrade, it could be a hardware issue. Check and see if the Gimbal fan is running as well. I think the P3P has one, and the P3A does not, if I am not mistaken. That could be part of the issue.

It does still power up and I flew it and recorded video to the SD card, just difficult shooting video without seeing what you shot.
The fan is running on the gimbal. I know that everyone says this, but the last time I flew it everything worked perfectly. I have no idea what would have changed. No crashes and no damage done. Looked over all of the connectors on the gimbal and all seated properly.

In your installation file it shows module 8 and 15 not detected.
[00034515][15 00][00] device not detected.
[00034627][17 00][00] v1.1.1.7 -> v1.1.1.7

[00034999][01 01][00] v1.32.5432 -> v1.32.5432
[00047568][08 00][00] device not detected.

Read through this thread and see what you can possibly do.

No image transmission signal - P3P

[00034515][15 00][00] device not detected.
[00047568][08 00][00] device not detected.
FYI that modules 8 and 15 showing as "device not detected" with the other modules showing as okay is the classic indication that there is an issue with your main gimbal board (video chip bad or FW corrupted) or perhaps in a few cases the OFDM module.
The common symptom is that everything works, but you have no image transmission.

when this occurs on a P3P it means in 9/10 cases that your main board of the gimbal overheated and fried the transmission module on it.
time for a new gimbal or if you can find just the gimbal main board for it, it will be cheaper otherwise you can't do much.
sorry.

Thanks for all of the input. Just ordered a new gimbal. Updates to follow.

Ok, just thought of a dumb question, if the gimbal did in fact overheat how do I prevent this from happening in the future?

usually overheating happens when FW upgrades are applied and because Phantom just sits there 15-25 minutes while upgrading, the gimbal heats up and
overheats the transmission module because that little fan on top of the gimbal is cosmetic at it's best. it does nothing as far as cooling it down.

SO, next time you do an upgrade on your bird place a floor fan in front of the Phantom to blow at high speed directly at the bird/gimbal and it will keep it cooled down.
