P3A crashed, please help analyse what caused it?

Before the aircraft took off... Did he calibrated the compass? If so, he did it close to a lot of concrete or metal?

Not sure, I will find out from him. Could that have caused the bird to fall out the sky like that? Even after flying for around 4 1/2 min?

No ... the compass won't make a Phantom fall from the sky.
At 4:11.6 the Phantom started falling and tumbling.
No error messages or clues before the incident.
The error msgs you see are all evidence of the falling.
If the Phantom is still in warranty, contact DJI about it.

Unfortunately not in warranty anymore.

How can you see that it started falling at 4:11.6 as it still has the same altitude at 4:12.1?

Were all props present when it hit the ground? If not, could be prop loss. Do you have the video?

He says all the props were there, but I've asked him for pics to see exactly what was left.

Unfortunately no video, he was not recording at the time. :-(

Could be props issue of hitting something in mid air?

Could this possibly indicate a prop that broke? Or a motor that stopped working?
Not necessarily.
It's just what happens when a Phantom is falling out of the sky regardless of prop issues.
The .dat file in the Phantom may have data that indicates what the motors were doing.

Flight was started at 93% but maybe that's not low enough to cause a failure. Volts dropped, if only one cell dropped I would be more concerned. fell at 4:12.2. Cell deviation dropped to .105. Lots of compass errors, normal for a crash.
