lost # 1 engine-- are the wires on the engine to board able to be spliced without issue or does it need to be soldered to board, because frankly i'm not really good at soldering especially on an electronic board, could really use some advise on this one

If you doubt your ability in performing a satisfactory termination by soldering the motor fly leads to the PCB pads forget splicing- it is even more difficult. The individual strands are separately insulated (they are extensions of the be magnet wire forming the motor windings).

Lost #1 engine........means what?......a BAD CRASH OR and a bent shaft or....AT power up it will not spin up TO ANY RPMS ?

IF....your not good at soldering the wires back to the printed circuit board....a great idea is to take it to some knowledgeable electronic person that can....and BE SURE to replace it will a CCW motor or a CW motor If you put the wrong rotation motor in your in for a exciting take off that will END really fast !
