Replaced camera now getting error

Did you reassemble the top shell? While you're in there it maybe best to check each motor for damage due to incorrect mounting screws being installed at some time......(unless you are original owner).....I can't remember.......long thread.

Check all plug in connections while you're in there, since there are new warnings present now. Something might have shaken loose while you were checking it out.
I have not reassembled the shell. Everything worked fine leading up to the crash so I don’t think incorrect screws were the culprit. All plug in connections are fine. I pulled them out and plugged back in again.

I get a beep for about 10 seconds then a solid tone with red light on camera.

It has likely damaged the motor coil windings, and did damage the motor wires.

Be best to replace that motor. Be SURE to get a OEM DJI replacement motor, not third party.
Am I correct that it’s a clockwise motor if it’s a rear right corner when standing above the drone with the camera facing forward? It has black tip coloring on the threads.

Do you happen to have a failed firmware update?....Or a "Update Available" or "Update Required" notice on the GoApp? The red light on the camera has different meanings, if solid or blinking. See below....

The firmware had been updated and everything was fine, I’d get a solid green light once it went through the motions. It’s now all of sudden it’s the solid red with a solid tone almost like something is stuck

So if I understand correctly, the GoApp does NOT say "Update Required", or "Update Available" when connected to the drone?

Does the camera do the 'dance' at power up?
Does the control wheel on the R/C still tilt the camera?
Do you still get the 'Battery Error' warning mentioned in post #39?

I know it's a bunch of questions, but usually an ESC warning is motor related.

That’s correct, there are no updates required or available in the Go app.

Camera does the dance on startup and can be controlled with the rc wheel.

Still getting a battery error which wasn’t the case before I had opened up the shell.

On startup, drone camera will alternate red and green, then go to solid red and make a solid tone

Camera LED alternating Red/Green is a firmware update indication. It might not be completed. (Chart in post #46) Then goes to solid red, and the ESC warning might indicate a firmware update failure.

You may want to try either a reinstall current firmware version.....OR......downgrade to a previous version. Is there a SD card in the camera slot?.......and was that card used to upgrade the firmware? Some SD cards have formatting issues.

I’d like to downgrade but couldn’t find the version to download. I have a new sd card that I formatted through the go app

Are you familiar with Phantomhelp.com ? Firmware archives can be found there. Just go to the site.......select the model drone you have........scroll through the general listings to the bottom. There you will find the Firmware archive. Select what you want, and follow instructions.
* * * * * * * * * * *
Also available in Phantomhelp is the "How to.." section. There, scroll down to firmware. It will tell you how you can upgrade/downgrade firmware versions using various methods. Good luck.

Having problems with pushing new firmware. Does the red/green flash for about 30 seconds and goes to the solid red. I’ve restarted the drone a couple times but no difference. Tried a couple different firmware versions, does the same thing. I formatted the sd card prior to any firmware update attempt. I’m starting to think this thing is fried…

Are you still getting the ESC error?

Going back to your post #1, maybe the 'used' camera and gimbal assembly you got to replace the damaged one was not in good working order as described. Might be corrupted firmware or other issues preventing the firmware install. The red/green LED blink should go to green when completed.......but has repeatedly gone to red (system error).

I know you don't want to hear this, but maybe try another camera/gimbal assembly?
