Is there in the earth any way to control Phantom 4 from computers?

We're doing a research project and we simply need to control DJI Phantom 4 from a computer not a mobile app, Any hope? any workarounds?

The very first step is to get DJI APIs for P4 and then develop your own app.

Thanks, Is there any API works on a computer? the only one we found is the Mobile SDK, Is it possible they only have it for mobile apps?
