I got an FC40 as a gift - I really like flying it, but I'm finding the built in camera to be very limited in range and so laggy that it is useless for FPV...

How would you guys fix this? I want to fly FPV and do basic aerial photography with my go-pro..

AS far as I can tell most FPV equipment is 5.8 ghz and the tx/rx is 2.4 , but the FC40
does his backwards .. making it incompatible with most easy solutions.

Please correct me if I am wrong - my choices are
1. remove the receiver and antenna and replace with one of my FrSky receivers (if it supports D-Bus)
and use the Frsky TX and an off the shelf fpv solution like boscam or similar

I'm sure someone has done something to this besides the futaba guys - can anyone give me a link to a how to?

2. buy used or replacement DJI rx and DJI tx for that are 2.4 ghz - would any combo work or does it have to be phantom 1 ?

3. sell it and build / buy an APM based quad for about the same money.

I'm not afraid to take apart / desolder and repair electronics, I just don't want to go too far down a road that has a dead end.
