It's probably not unknown for the wrong controller to be supplied especially if the vendor has opened the box for some reason.
Some sellers won't have a clue about the important differences since they all look similar.

Now that I'm back, I bet he has a Phantom 3 4K, I think this came up before.

Any updates on this? Just recently opened my supposedly P3P to find the controller only had a micro usb on the back. Have ordered an adaptor since, however, do I actually have the pro? The controller is set up the exact same as the pro.

I'm confused P3P is a Pro, yes just the usb jack on the back, but it should be a standard USB connector, what exact model do your have.

Phantom 4K? They hookup via WiFi no connector.
