I Dropped my battery and this happened...

Soo... yea. Only the outer casing is cracked, doesn't appear to be swollen. Dropped it from around 2-3'. Did notice this a while ago (see image below), may have been like this when I got it with my drone (bought it second hand). Never had any issues. I will keep an eye on it and continue to monitor the voltage and whether it is swollen or not, etc.

Get a soldering iron and run it along the crack to melt/weld it up. That way your using the same materials to bind it together

I'd be afraid of touching the actual battery itself and damaging it. My hands can get quite shaky when nervous at times like that. Don't want it to blow up! lol

Lol. Okay. Well I'll have to borrow a solder iron, but until then, would it be safe to fly? I would only put it in the quad and take off a couple feet and let it hover first.

There’s nothing wrong electrically with your battery. It will charge and discharge normally.

That’s why it has the ‘cage’ around it.

If it still slides in and out normally- move on.
