Gimbal crazy dance

Phantom 3 standard gimbal doing the crazy dance. Replaced the flex cable, have checked all connections etc everything snug and right. Have tested the potentiometer by means of a multimeter and am getting the correct readings. Have also ensured camera shaft is correctly installed as well as the yaw arm shaft.
Controller connects to drone for a few seconds then disconnects again. No errors on the software being shown. On the gimbal itself, a red light flashes.

Anyone have any clue as to what else I can try?

Nothing is 100 % on these things. I have same problem, also 1 other the board fixed it

Red light blinking constantly suggests that Ambarella restarts. If you want to know why, you'd have to connect to the serial interface (UART) of Ambarella.

Though in most cases, we don't know how to fix Ambarella.

Where can you find good replacement gimbal main boards to buy?

I have an se. Only dji is whole camera assembly. EBay has unbranded boards under 100 dollars
