Phantom 3 standard after installing a new after market antenna. I did not due the compass calibration as everything looked ok. In a matter of a few seconds the drone did its own thing. I was unable to gain any control before it crashed into a golf fence where it stuck. Any help in identifying my error which I imagine was not calibrating the compass.

Sharing your flight, I recommend doing this.

Then sharing the results, as a link from the url.

There is also a sticky on the top of this thread posted by

I have no clue what that means?

If you want help for analyzing the data to see actually happened.

You post something like this:

BTW, @Meta4 says they are no Fly Away's and I agree. 👍

If you know what happened, that's great!
But that is not a Fly away. 👌

Your description is classic yaw error and Airdata makes it clear that was the issue.
Was the aftermarket antenna on the drone or just the controller?

There is normally no need to recalibrate the compass.
The only exception is after modifications to the drone.

The usual cause of a yaw error is powering up the drone where magnetic interference deflects the compass which gives the gyro sensor incorrect directional data for it's initialisation.
Where did you power up the drone?
If you post the data that would help with confirmation of the cause.
All that's needed is to post the Airdata report after you tick the "share" box.
