Originally I was going to film the video in the morning during good light, but it was super windy and I had to go to a different location...hence the 2PM lighting conditions.
But I got the shot!

Thanks for the tips guys. 2 months after posting this thread, I proposed.

I ended up pre ordering the Mavic. I set it to orbit while asking her, with an incredible view in the background. I'll post the video in a day or so. Hope y'all will be proud. Came here with no flying experience whatsoever and you guys helped me pull off something she'll remember for a lifetime!

Congrats on your engagement. Looks like you and fiancé are brave and not scared of edges / heights. I would not be able to stand so close to the edge of the cliff as you guys did. Happy for you.
