Take a look at not only the video but the comments the poster has made to people's questions. This looks genuine and what he is saying makes common sense. Very interesting though..

He's zig-zagging all over. I'm gonna guess that it's a GS mission and the 8 miles is round trip (tot dist traveled). That's not what he says though. I don't know.

Maybe because the return home would have had to have been shorter as battery life would be an issue?!

There's no way he went 16mi round trip. Even 8mi round trip is hard to believe. However I've done a 5.7 mile round trip and landed with 30% battery left. But I know that last 30 to 10% portion of the battery goes much quicker. I'm skeptical to get another 2mi out of it.

8 miles is not a problem... Can't imagine 16 miles though...

I have done a 6 mile round trip and landed with only 23% battery left....that was enough for me!

He launched and went horizontal in about 20 secs. It had to take him a few secs to achieve 45 mph right? At the 3:30 mark he makes a 90 degree turn. So that's it. 45 mph for 3 mins. That's only two and a quarter miles horizontal distance.

I did a 49,980 ft. round trip on my P4 this morning.. 9.4 miles total distance. The best I could get out of my P3P in that respect was 8.2 miles. I'm pretty happy that the P4 can achieve this distance with the stock battery but the flight only lasted 18 min. I took off at 100% batt. and landed with 10% left.. The bird was in constant motion the whole time at around 35 to 40 mph so I'm sure that contributed to the seemingly short battery life. Overall I'm pretty happy though
