Hello Gentlemen:

I am from the Bay Area, a little further north than you guys, but I own a video production company and am currently bidding on a job that would require some flyover footage of a solar panel park in Hollister. Do any of you have video samples posted? Would you be interested? This would happen some time in August but I am bidding the job today. I would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks!

Another San Jose resident here.

South Bay folks, where do you fly? I'm still learning, so I'm looking for wide open spaces rather than somewhere interesting to film. So far, I've hit a few schools but I've run into issues with weekend soccer games, etc. Are there any local parks that you won't get chased out of? I got really excited about the Cupertino park that has an RC area until I spotted the "No Helicopters" sign.

I PM'd the mod a few days ago suggesting he add a new forum that would host regional meetups. I have not heard back yet but i'm sure this is a pretty simple request that we should see put in action soon.

I was gonna start another site to do this but i think there is already a pretty good following here and this simple feature will go a long way.

Anyhow i'm in Los Angeles and already set date and time for a meetup this Sunday

La Brea Tar Pits / Los Angeles County Museum of Art
5905 Wilshire Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90036
Sunday Aug 11, 2013 11:00am - 2:00pm

This is a great place to fly (Before it get's crowded) , but there are very wide open spaces along with architechtual gems for close up's and not to forget the actual tar pits with real live excavations with prehistoric findings still being discovered to this day .

Check out this video i made flying there last week.
