Where Is "Home" in Home-Lock Mode

Does anyone know for sure if the "Home" in the Home-Lock mode is the take off point? Or is it the location of the Tx?
Could make a big difference if you are flying from a moving vehicle.

Aircraft. It would have no way of knowing where the transmitter is located.

Thanks. I now know not to reel in my Phantom with Home-Lock Mode if I move around a lot during the flight.

Yeah, it's good to know that home lock won't be very helpful in cases in which you're taking off from a boat, for instance. Always wait for the second series of long green flashes to signify home point attained.
