We also wrestled with this question - and originally intended to use an iPad mini 2. Eventually, we decided on getting the P4 Pro+. The screen is exceptionally bright and we have no regrets. Setting up is simple and quick. There are no leads dangling that could get snagged. We've never used any other app, so we don't miss what we haven't known.
