Hello,
Haven't flown my P3P for a while ( 6 months ). Charged it and decided to upgrade it with a "modified" firmware : howto:p3i1modfw [dji.retroroms.info]
Didn't want to update by itself, I had to force the update (booting the phantom with bind button pushed. Update went successfull.

I went to test it out in a field (no nearby wifi, or antenna, all wifi and Lte off) and I had a very bad video feed, even at 5 meters away the feed was cutting, showing artefacts, freezing...
On the app, I have a "strong interference" warning "weak signal" that comes and go every second. When I look at the transmission channels, they are all over the place, every update they are either at -100db or at -60db.

Tested in another place, relinked the remote, recalibrated the remote, recalibrated the compass, switched from my ipad to my android phone, even tried with different sd cards... No luck. Always the same bug.
Then I re flash-ed it with official firmware a couple of times, it didn't get better. Then I reflashed it with the modified firmware and the remote ON.. still the same issue.

From looking at the logs in /misc/logs , it doesn't look like anything was briked (i was thinking maybe the occusync got briked or failed somehow) :

I did a research with keywords like Interference but couldn't really find anything interesting for me. Hope someone here can help.

I live in Europe if that can help identify the problem. Found an interesting video from a swiss german electronician who flashes the occusync firmware via TTL here, but I'm affraid it doesn't apply to me since my occusync firmware appears OK from the log [15 00][00] v1.1.2.0 -> v1.1.2.0 . Hope we can find an easier solution too ;-)

best regards,

This sounds exactly like your display device (iphone, ipad, android) has the wifi turned on, and not connected to an access point. Those are classic symptoms for that mistake, however you said you checked your wifi on the ipad and android had wifi off. Are there any other phones in your pocket with wifi one? If not, I'm stumped. You could try using a custom channel. You could also try to hack the app to get more channels, and use channel 30 or 31, which are outside the wifi band range. Then with custom channel enabled, on the same screen use the slider to reduce the transmission quality to 4mbps, instead of 10mpbs.

You could also buy a kit from nolimitdronez.com to enable FCC mode. You'll get 2 to 3mi range with that with a windsurfer on your antennas.

By the way, you don't have OcuSync in the craft/RC. P3P's use Lightbridge.
