I have several ANDROID tablets laying around and am trying to figure out how to use one as a second monitor for my NVidia Shield to avoid the cost of buying an external monitor.
I do have an ipad I could use but prefer no to because it is on its last leg. I also have a Kindle Fire HD but that may be a stretch to use.
I would prefer wireless but would also consider using the HDMI output on my shield. But I cannot figure out how to make the hard wire connection because my tablets don't have HDMI inputs.
I have heard that the Shield HDMI output exports 1280x800 instead of the standard 1280x720 so this may complicate using that output in any solution (Tablet or Monitor). True?
I have tried finding Android screen sharing/mirroring apps but cannot find anything that appears to work tablet to tablet - especially without Wi-Fi.
Any ideas for me?
Before you respond, I am not interested in goggles! ;-)
