Steps to remove FAA registration?

I have just sold my P3P and want to remove my FAA registration. What are the steps to do that? TIA

You don't register any drones. You as a person registered. It lasts 5 years. You can simply let it run out.

You can also log into your account and cancel your registration.

Partially correct. It lasts 3 years. Sandpaper or a good solvent will remove the registration.

Yup. Sorry.. Also.. oh! I did not think the OP was referring to the physical removal from the drone. That makes much more sense.

You're correct. He wasn't talking about the physical removal (and I knew it). Just my warped sense of humor regarding his use of the word "remove" instead of "cancel".

Why bother doing that? Now you can't fly anything but the smallest of aircraft and be legal.

Was the UAS itself registered, i.e. with a N-number and so on? If so then I believe you need to use the traditional form of ownership transfer.
