Need some help please, now that I have 4 P3P's ready to go outside and fly I wanted to register them. I already have a Small UAS Certification. I went to the FAA web sight and started filling out the registration info. . When I was done the last screen asked for $50.00, what the heck is this? I did not know you had to pay that much, I can see $5.00 each but not $50.00. What did I do wrong?

You're on the wrong website. Go here instead:

Thanks, I registered one for now, it said I don't need to provide the Serial number. I guess I still need to put my FA registration # on each drone.

Yep.

Might consider contact info also....maybe just a cell number.

Mine say "Reward if Found" and a cell number.......just in case the bird wanders away on its own and goes exploring........

Thanks again guys, I registered a Helicopter years ago and I could not find out where I did it.

From my tips post:

> For those of you in the US, use ONLY the official FAA web site to register. Don't be fooled by web sites that will charge you an extra fee to register. These sites are not affiliated with the FAA.

@watersteps if you are registering as recreational you pay $5 for a three year term and can use an unlimited number of aircraft with that registration number. If the aircraft weighs 0.55lbs (250g) up to 55 lbs it needs to be registered on the DroneZone website under your recreational ID.

If you were to obtain a §107 certification then the aircraft you use under that certification need to be registered individually at $5 each.
