Run P3A with Droid Turbo or get add on GPS for iPad mini 2?

Hey all - have my first quad (P3A) arriving in a few days. I could run it either with my Droid Turbo or my iPad Mini 2, but I'd have to drop $100 on addon GPS for the iPad. Anybody want to weigh in on whether the bigger screen of the iPad would be worth $100?

Try them both and use the Droid as a hot spot for loading maps on the ipad, either will work but depending on your eye sight, the largest screen wins out significantly

You don't need to have the GPS version of the iPad Mini 2 to use it. Your aircraft will operate just fine with the onboard GPS/GLONASS and you can pre-load your maps with WIFI before flying.

A tablet makes for a much better flying.

For old eyes like mine, the bigger the screen, the better..
Like SageBrush said, you don't need a GPS version unless you want to use the Follow Me option.

Seriously, you guys are amazing!! Thank you so much. I hadn't realized I could use it without GPS. Follow me looks cool but it doesn't seem hugely useful, so I'm happy to run it with my phone to play with that but otherwise just use the tablet. Thanks guys!!
