OK, what are the bottoms ? Reinforcement for the known plastic cracking around the motors mounts. I've looked at hundreds of Phantoms and never seen this thing.

You are correct with both of your guesses. They are prop guard mounts. They were also used by some in an effort to reinforce the area under each motor that was known to crack.Connection point for prop guards?? Reinforcement for the known plastic cracking around the motors mounts.
