Dear Experts

Your advice please on this sequence of events for Phantom 4 Pro Plus

1) I realised position was too close to a tree
2) I hit RTH button
3) Aircraft issued "switching to atti mode" warning
4) Aircraft was blown into said tree

I'm asking DJI if its system malfunction whay do you think? I will post full results here.

Thanks

Ian

You'll need to post your flight log if you'd like other people to comment on your flight. You can upload it here. Please post a link back here after you upload it.

As you've already heard, we'll need to see flight data to tell what happened.
But it would help to get some more details.
Can you explain the position o the drone relative to the tree?
Why did you initiate RTH rather than just move the Phantom away from the tree?
The aircraft switching to atti when you initiated RTH sounds unusual.
Do you have any idea why that happened?
Was the Phantom's skyview blocked by tree cover etc?

Thanks for the advice, the craft was too close (hovering a foot away) and maybe some tree above as well as next to the drone, wouldn't have blocked sky much as the tree was branches only with no leaves!
