Phantom Standard 3 Gimbal is non functioning until I nudge it

I had a "critical low battery" landing recently and the quad tipped over when shutting down the props. I don't recall that it was a hard landing just some bouncing after the drone tipped over. Now I have been experiencing erratic gimbal performance. Sometimes when I start the drone up the camera doesn't perform the little dance and just hangs there until I give it a couple of taps. Then it fires up but doesn't always do the regular dance....it seems like it is having trouble getting it's bearings. It will twitch occasionally and sometimes while in video mode it will suddenly jerk and twist around and end up pointing at the props. I have done an IMU calibration and gimbal calibration but that hasn't helped. Is there any home remedy for this situation?

When i had that issue it was the camera snagging on the gimbal ribbon
