Okay so this is the second time my Phantom has fallen out of the sky. Lucky for me both times i was only about 30 ft in the air. and not over water. The first time I had an interference issue and the phantom went into FS. It turned towards me and just descended to the ground rapidly. Bounced once and I was able to regain control. The second time I manually selected FS to test it. Did the exact same thing. This time it hit so hard the H3-3D completely fell off. I have video of the incident. The phantom flew away and i was able to regain control and land. I'm very concerned about this behavior. The firmware is fully updated and i just re-calibrated recently.

Any one else seeing this in fail safe.

It sounds like you're describing VRS.

I think fail safe descends too quickly. And, unfortunately, there is no way to adjust that speed. To work around that issue, I flip S1 to ATTI (the middle position) and take control before the Phantom starts landing. That way I can manually descend at a speed of 2-3 MPH.

I thought about VRS but i was pretty low. 10 meters. It is repeatable in Fail-safe. I did flip to ATTI and back to GPS and i couldnt get control in time to prevent it slamming into the ground. it happens quickly. maybe the decent rate is too high. Anyway switch to FS should have caused an Accent not Decent. 10 meters. it should have ascended to 30 meters and then came back to the RTH position and then began an decent. Correct?? that's what i have in the assistant. 60 ft.

Are you using OEM props? If not, try switching back to the props that came with your Phantom.

Correct.

Okay so my phantom 2 Crashed again. This time it hit so hard the battery actually fell out of the machine. Luckily i had my Gimbal and camera off and was just testing. I was flying around my house and over the street and about 15 minuets into the flight the Phantom just nosed over and crashed into the street. It wasn't a power issue because the battery was still on when i picked it up. After i inspected the phantom I did notice that a couple of the screws were missing from the landing gear. Wonder if this could have caused some excessive vibration in the compass and caused the crashes i been having. I replaced the screws and flew the phantom around my yard with no issues. But I must say that Im very worried about losing my expensive Equipement
