Phantom 4 Pro Plus footage slightly cockeyed

I have noticed in recent footage that the horizon is a little cockeyed (not level). I placed the P4P+ on a level surface (0% according to my iPhone) and ran the IMU calibration and then the gimbal calibration.

Then I took the P4P+ out for a flight. As soon as I turned on the P4P+ I noticed a warning in the display, tapped on it, and it said the IMU was calibrating, "please wait". The ground surface from which it was to take off from is not perfectly level. After I took off it was obvious that the horizon was back to the way it had been - slightly cockeyed.

Is an IMU and gimbal calibration on a known-level surface only in effect during that session, and undone the next time the craft is turned on and flown? I should think that the calibration would remain in effect and not change every time I fly.

Suggestions?

Thank you

I have some phantoms that tend to do that. I have to do a gimbal adjustment in flight sometimes.
