I shoot panoramas with panoheads on the ground but I need to do an aerial one now. I have limited experience with drones but can still manage a basic flight. I have a question about the Phantom 4 Pano mode shooting with the latest fimrware.I know it automatically takes 34 pictures and stitches them together by itself to create a spherical panorama if you choose that mode. But can I also get those individual unstitched images? Are all those saved separately on the SD card and in which folder.

My advice is not to use the pano mode. One reason is that the images are JPEG and if you are a serious photographer you will do so much better with RAW. The next reason is that the pano mode takes its pictures from a level tilt position which generally puts the horizon in the middle of the shot--this is not ideal. Try taking a series of images by rotating the drone around its vertical axis, overlapping as you would do with a tripod. Or you can do vertical panos by tilting the camera up and down. Then download the images into your normal photo processor like Photoshop, make your adjustments and then stitch together. I include one example.

Sky is certainly on point, great shot btw. A slight clockwise rotation may help even it out a bit maybe?

I shoot pano's pretty frequelty, and just for the record you can use the auto mode but just set to jpg+raw for those images so you get the benefit. I've actually never used the app's stitching before, just Lightroom or Microsoft ICE.
